Oh Boy, Oh Boy!

SO exciting! I can't wait to meet our little man!! (Well, I mean I can- he still has some growing to do. Right now he only weighs about 7 oz. So Baby Brooks, you stay inside and grow! Eat your Wheaties)
Going to this ultrasound was one of the best experiences of my life! The last time we had an ultrasound was to confirm that the baby was actually still in there-- so needless to say, that was a completely nerve wrecking experience. That happened at about 8 weeks and the doctor sent us for an ultrasound because he couldn't hear the heartbeat. But we saw it beating very strongly on the screen.
This time around- it was a pre-scheduled ultrasound at 3:30pm, and we knew it was gender time! I was so excited I couldn't sleep the night before! And that day seemed to drag on and on and on. But, when we finally got to see our baby again- it was completely unbelievable.
We watched him change positions a ton of times. I got to see what it looks like on the inside when he's kicking. We saw all of his brain, his heart, and every other part of him. I really just can't put into words how amazing the experience was for us.
So now the fun times begin- we're trying to figure out what we want his room to look like (MAN- babies need a lot of crap!) And we're torn between two names: Gabriel and Gavin.
And this time next year, Bam Bam will be celebrating his first Christmas- and we get to create our family traditions with him and watch life through his tiny, hopeful eyes. I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's see...no new symptoms or anything. Except I have developed a love for lime and black pepper on things. I can feel the baby moving a lot more now. Oh yeah and by the time I get home from work, my feet are swollen like crazy!

If you look REALLY closely, you can see the eyes and nose and stuff on the face. I think it just looks like the face of the staypuft marshmallow man right now.
