Baby Gabriel is truly so sweet!
Daddy is in for a valentine treat!
Our days are full of hugs and kisses,
Dreaming of Daddy and making big wishes!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Gabriel was such a strong boy at his 4 month appointment. We were in the orange room today. Dr. Tripp once again said that she wanted to take him home with her, but I bet she says that to all of her patients. ;) Gabriel cried for less than a minute after his shots! He wasn't quite this happy afterward, but I was very proud of him!
Today was a busy day for Gabriel. He watched as many of the wives had tea and then worked on a quilt for the squadron...We sound so domestic! Then we went to a baby shower for our dear friend, Alison. Her baby boy, Noah, is due March 9th!
We can't wait for Baby Noah to arrive!
Uncle John hosted an inauguration dinner at our home. He found the lunch menu recipe from Barack's inauguration. John Berger, John Anacker, and Mike Jackson served up a fabulous feast!
Amber hadn't seen Gabriel since we helped decorate her Christmas tree! Boy how he's grown!
John Anacker met Gabriel for the first time since he was overseas when he was born! Liz had to teach him how to hold a baby. He's so goofy!
Gabriel can now roll over from his back to his stomach!!! He looks like such a big boy in his crib! I'm having a hard time fitting his whole body in the screen now!
Happy Birthday Daddy! We can't wait to celebrate with you! Here's a little tune and a hint for the gift that will be waiting for you when you get home: Daisy, Daisy, Give me your answer do! I'm half crazy, All for the love of you! It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage, But you'll look sweet upon the seat Of a bicycle made for two.
I made cupcakes to celebrate Jamil's birthday and practice for Alison's Valentine shower!
Gabriel is starting to let out big chuckles!!! His laughs are the most beautiful noise I've ever heard!
Our valentine shower was a hit for Alison and Baby Noah! Thanks, Jennifer, for hanging out with Gabriel upstairs! He's hoping to get you sick with baby fever! ;)
We played the poopy diaper game! I'm not one for many games, but this one is hilarious!!!
The candy bars are melted into different diapers. You have to examine the mess and take a guess!
Thanks, Lisa, for helping me host the shower. I miss you all at Beech Hill!
We went to a super bowl party at the Pinkerton's house. Go Cardinals! We like to root for the underdogs if we're not into either team. Everyone loves a Cinderella story! Obviously, Gabriel is not too happy with the outcome.
Actually, he didn't make it to the end of the game. He passed out sitting up in the middle of the room not too long after the first picture was taken! I wish he fell asleep that easily every night!
Gabriel discovered his toes!!! When do you teach a baby that eating their feet is probably not socially acceptable?
Gabriel LOVES his new activity center/jumper and is finally big enough to enjoy it! He's playing the piano now, but he also loves to hit that green frog and make it spin! This just may be better than eating toes! Thanks Grams & Aunt Leila!
Granddad brought Plato back to SC and all three of them wanted to play on the mat! There's a squeaky toy embedded in the mat, and Plato seems to think it's his!
Gone are the days when I tried to convince myself that Gabriel was purposefully grabbing or hitting one of his toys! It's no accident that he is grabbing two toys at once here!!! His movements now have multiple purposes as well..... fun exercise and the pleasure of pulling them straight to his mouth!
Happy Baby!
Granddad and Great Uncle Cliff went on a road trip to see Uncle Cliff's great-grandchild in Florida and Jerry's grandson in South Carolina.
Gabriel was so excited to wake up and find his granddad downstairs cookin' breakfast!
Gabriel met his great-uncle Cliff for the first time!
We strolled around downtown Charleston and saw all of the sites, including Waterfront Park!
We got to see the sun begin to set over the harbor.
We went through Battery Park, surrounded by palmettos and live oaks, where we could see Fort Sumter and all of the beautiful homes!
We enjoyed having you both and hope to see you soon!
Kelli Brewer hosted a Valentine social for the wives club titled, "Let's Have Some Cheese with our Whine!" Ha!
Gabriel enjoyed flirting with all of the women!
Most babies LOVE the carseat, right? Well, not Gabriel. Actually, it's not so much the carseat as it is the car. I have spent the past several months with one hand on the wheel and one trying to hit these silly toys that dangle above his head. I know, I know... Thank God, Gabriel discovered that he can hit them himself!!! Of course, however, this came right after the carseat phase seemed to be coming to an end. That's okay!
OH NO! The foot thing is becoming a fetish! Anywhere and everywhere...shoes or no shoes...he's trying to put them in his mouth! This is totally from his father!
Oh, you think that's funny, huh?
Thank you, sweetie, for my beautiful flowers!
Baby Noah is here!!!! February 20, 2009 at 10:30am
Congratulations Alison & Chris Terry! Chris hung out with Gabriel while I got to visit with Alison & Noah. Thanks, Chris!
Gabriel got the second half of his four month shots at 5 months. He didn't cry at all!!! Does that mean he's going to be hard-headed? If so, that's from his father as well. J/K!
He can't get enough of this thing! As you can also see from this picture, we're working on the mo-hawk! This is all natural, but we're lovin' it!
I am the coordinator for the new mom's group in Jamil's squadron, Little Lions. We had our first event at Katie Hall's house, and it was a hit!
Aren't Cali and Haley too cute!
Lindsey got a little baby fix from the little ones! Gabriel enjoyed hanging out with her despite the look on his face in this picture. :)
Katie took a little break from her cuties to spend time with another one!
Miss Haley has obviously been spending a lot of time in front of the camera since Daddy has been gone. She never misses a chance to be photographed!
Asher was so sweet to share all of his toys with us!
Gabriel did not know what to think of a real sized dog after spending all of his time with Plato. Jackson' s kisses won him over!
This was right after Gabriel received a big, juicy kiss from Jackson!
Asher wasn't too sure if he was ready to share his bumbo seat. I totally understand..these things rock!
Sophia was the care-taker and played a fabulous hostess!
After the mom's group we stopped by to visit Baby Noah! The Terrys are settling in at home and doing great!
We have the same sling! I hope Alison loves it as much as I have!
How sweet is this? Look what a difference just 5 months makes! Amazing!
We had a busy day! That evening we went to John Anacker's house for a fabulous dinner. Great job John! Gabriel was sucking on John's finger, and he got to feel his first tooth!
Gabriel cut his first tooth the night before on the bottom in the center!
Liz is such a natural with little ones!
The two Johns and their pride and joy!
Thank God for dear friends...and Bob over on the far left. We all miss you, Jamil!
We finished out the month at a Japanese steak house! YUM!
WOW! Now that a lot of resturants are providing slings for the car seats, Gabriel had a great seat where he could see all of the action!
Stephanie and I (plus 4 other dear friends) celebrated our time together husbandless. ;)
