Christmas 2010

Oh Come All Ye Faithful,
Joyful and Triumphant,
Oh Come Ye, Oh Come Ye to Bethlehem.
Come and Behold Him,
Born the King of Angels;
Oh Come Let us Adore Him,
Oh Come Let us Adore Him,
Oh Come Let us Adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
An attempt to get Gabriel to put the star up... maybe next year.
That's the smile of a man who is so happy to be done with the tree! ;)
More Texas Christmas Pictures to come.... I still need to upload them from the camera!!!
Santa came to our neighborhood Christmas party on a big, red, fire truck! It was awesome...for the kids that is! :)
This is what happens when the girls go out for a nice dinner and leave the men home with the kids! Let's get that poor baby to a bed! We miss you, Hagoods!
Abraham started solids in December, at 6 months, and is a way messier eater than Gabriel! Or is he? It's funny how quickly you forget, but getting the spoon in the target, his mouth, seems to be much more difficult than I remember.
We have a sitter at 5 months!!!
...and now we have a crawler at 7 months! This guy seems to be flying through the milestones, and he has the bruises to show for it (left eye)! Poor guy!
Gabriel eventually made a whole family of robots..."Daddy, Mommy, and Abraham".
The boys love staying at hotels! I have a different opinion of the whole experience. Here are a couple of action shots on our way home from Texas.
Thanks, Annalisa, for the jumper! We actually didn't have a chance to used it with Gabriel. Our whole downstairs was an open floor-plan in Charleston, and there wasn't a door frame for the mount. Abraham loves it, and Gabriel thinks it's a swing. You can imagine what it's like when he tries to get by with pushing Abraham in the "swing". Thanks Mimi and Papa for the jammies!
We have truly enjoyed all of the seasons. Honestly, I was a little scared of having a winter with snow that you might actually have to shovel out of your way, but I love how it feels, smells, and looks like winter! This is Gabriel's first snowman! They can only get better, right?
Super Bowl Sunday!
Here's Abraham's first time in the park swing from the beginning of December.
Okay y'all! Here are the rest of our Texas Christmas pictures...
Misty is hanging in there... a boy gave him to me in 8th grade! Gabriel, of course, is a big fan, but I think Mimi and Papa are ready to say goodbye and hello to some new carpet. :)
We always love to see our friends and their growing families...
Jennifer was so sweet to borrow toys from her neighbor to keep the boys entertained during our yummy fajita dinner.
Reece Edge is about to be a big brother! We love our boys!
We left the boys with the grands while we went on a date with Cody and Jennifer. It was really nice to have a grown up conversation!
Frankie, Josh, John and Rachel headed over for some time with the boys. We're so excited that the Southard's are expecting!!!
Debbie, Hayley, Solomon and Kinsley...dear family friends. We're looking forward to holding your babies one day!
Abraham is a pro at rolling over! He started to sit up in Texas and started crawling a month later in DC.
Oh boy! This is not as bad as it looks. However, Gabriel is definitely having some big brother issues when in comes to sharing his spotlight!
Abraham had a big 6th month. He reached lots of milestones, including his first tooth on the bottom!!! No luck getting a pic; his tongue will have to suffice.
Gabriel LOVES the Choo Choo train! The Ridgmar Mall train was a hit, and we even rode past Santa!
The carousel is always a hit, and Abraham was even big enough to ride this time!
We can't forget about our first baby boy, Plato! We had to say goodbye to our dear dog as we prepare for our travels for the next two years. We know he is in loving hands with Mimi and Papa and the rest of our Texas family who all love him dearly. We love and miss you sweet Pooty Plato Potato (my baby/dog talk)!
Chocolate milk on Christmas morning...
and kisses galore!
Merry Christmas Sweet Musa Boys!
My mom's friend, Brad, blessed and prayed for baby Abraham.
Mimi was so proud to show off her boys with her work friends!
We stayed with Papa a few days on our way out of Texas. He loves these boys!
We celebrated 2011 in a hotel room with a plastic football full of cheese and crackers... high class and lots of fun! Gabriel stayed up to bring in the new year, and luckily Abraham slept through our wild party!
Gabriel's first snow man... ;)
In Gabriel's world, I'm not sure if there are many things better than boots and balls!
Who needs toys anyway...or a tidy kitchen? Gabriel asks to play with the cans every day! We had to limit our play to cans only after a few accidents with the spices. :)
We had a Dinosaur Valentine's Day!
Yummy dinosaur waffles!
Thanks, Papa and Mimi, for the dinosaur gifts that inspired our theme of the day!
Abraham began standing at 8 months. It's a whole new world from way up here!
For Jamil's 30th birthday, many of his friends and family members wrote him letters that I put together in this book. I gave him a similar book for his 18th birthday and remembered how special it was to him. Thank you to all who participated in the truly treasured gift!
I could not wait to give it to him, so I surprised him in bed at midnight. Watching him read all of the letters bought tears to my eyes.
Jamil wanted to visit the George Marshall Museum for his birthday, so we made the 3 hour trek with the boys for an afternoon of history!
I made an oh so sweet brownie ice cream cake! I was frazzled because I spent the entire day baking and trying to find a babysitter for our dinner date after ours canceled the day of! I dropped the cake on the floor as I was carrying it to the table, and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, so I did both at the same time!
Uncle John managed to hop on a mission that was coming to DC over Jamil's birthday! We found a last min babysitter and all went out to dinner to celebrate.
In early March we got one last snow. Perfect, because I realized our poor second child didn't have any pictures in the snow!
The museum of Natural History, Washington DC. We enjoyed all of the amazing museums and things to do in the DC area. Our nation's capitol is a true jewel!
Liberty Ski Resort. Skiing just and hour and a half away from DC! Not the best, but worth a weekend get away!
Goodbye Winter Wonderland!
