Sweet Spring 2010

10:58 am CDT May 12, 2010
Spring has sprung and birthdays are here too! We're heading to Texas to Party with You! Easter in Charleston and a huge hollaaaa, my husband, Jamil, is an Olmsted Scholar!!!

Let me begin by congratulating my husband on becoming a 2011 Olmsted Scholar!!!! He was chosen out of all of the military branches as one of the 17 officers to receive this scholarship to study overseas. Our family will be moving to DC to study Arabic July 1st and then to Amman, Jordan in February where Jamil will be a full time student at the University of Jordan beginning August 2011! This is truly an amazing opportunity and a huge honor! Congratulations, Sweetie!

Okay, so we kicked off spring in Texas, but I realized that I never posted pictured from our trip to Texas this past fall. Oopps! Here are a few...

Uncle Casey took us to the Botanic Gardens!

Grandpa Musa is always so much fun!

We met the Greats at Casey's new fixer upper!

Great God-Mother, Bebe, stopped by for some lovin' after the Cowboy game.

We got to meet Sweet Baby Reece! Congratulations to Cody and Tara!

Welcome Sweet Baby Parker, and congrats to Paul and Arden! We also got to meet baby Chase, but my camera battery died! :( Congrats to Justin and Kristen!

Arden snapped a few pics of G on her couch while we visited.

Jayme and I went to the TCU vs Utah game, which was the ESPN Game Day game! Go Frogs!

My dad hooked me up with an awesome half time view in the press box!

Gabriel stayed home with the Grandmas and Aunt Leila, but showed his spirit with his new TCU jersey! Thanks Granddad!

This March G and I traveled back to Texas for a bunch of birthday celebrations!!! We started off by surprising Jayme at her surprise 30th birthday bash!!!

We got to meet baby Chase! Congrats to Dana and Sean!

Granddad took us to the new children's museum on Saint Patrick's Day, also his 60th Birthday!!!!

Happy Birthday Granddad and Grandma! We all wore matching shirts and celebrated both of their birthdays at Simply Fondue! Yum! Gabriel got Granddad a toy race car that went along with his big present to drive a race car on the track at Texas Motor Speedway!

Grams (Yaya) took us to the park with Aunt Leila.

They also took us for a train ride through Trinity Park!

We treated Grandpa to lunch to celebrate his birthday, and then he took us to Braum's for some yummy ice cream!

We met Kelly and Aslyn at Jason's Deli. Gabriel was trying to bribe her with my keys, but she was way too smart of that old trick!

We met Tara and Reece at a park in Arlington, half way between Dallas and Fort Worth. I can't believe this is the only picture I got of the two of them! Reece was SO close to rolling over at this point!

We had a playdate with Elliot, who is about to be a big brother as well. Congrats to Tricia and David!

We finished off our trip at the zoo with Uncle Casey! Going to the zoo is super fun at this age!

Back in Charleston, we had a squadron picnic where the kids got to hunt for Easter eggs!

Happy Easter! He is Risen!

Gabriel could care less about what was inside the eggs, but he thought it was super cool that they opened up!!!

I also had to share a few pictures from the baby shower that we hosted for Kacey at the beginning of spring.
