Texas New Year!
10:20 am CST January 6, 2009
We brought in the new year in the great homeland!
Although we missed daddy who's hangin' out in the sand.
Family and friends were knocking on the door!
All of the attention left Gabriel begging for more!Foster Park, Joe T's and TCU,
We even got to visit the Fort Worth Zoo!
Gabriel is growing and changing every day!
We hope to return soon..maybe even in May!
One of our first trips was to Foster Park!
We enjoyed a walk through the park with Grandma, Granddad, Plato and Cleo!
Gabriel sat on mom and dad's special bench. We can't wait to come back with Jamil and carve our names again!
Granddad took us to the AF vs. Houston bowl game at TCU!
We had a VIP pass to the press box where we saw the flyover and the parachuters kick off the game!
Grandma was so excited to rock her grandbaby!
Granddad had to get some lovin' too!
Uncle Casey meet Gabriel for the first time, and Grandma decorated her Christmas tree just for Gabriel... an angel theme!
Grams got her some lovin' as soon as she could!
Gabriel happily laid in her lap for hours!
Aunt Weiwa (Leila) loves that Gabriel is a thumb sucker, since Jamil used to tease her when they were little!
Grandpa Musa and Aunt Leila played with Gabriel on Leila's birthday!
The granddads and their pride and joy!
Play time with Grandpa Musa made grandma's heart skip a beat!
In my party PJs for New Year's Eve!
Great Uncle Ron played with Sweet Gabriel in the Mirror.
Great grandma and Great grandpa met Gabriel for the first time, and we celebrated at Rio Mambo! YUM!
Great grandma was full of kisses for her first great-grandchild!
Many family members gathered to welcome Gabriel to the crazy family!
I had to get my Garden Ridge fix, since there isn't one in Charleston. :( Grandma wanted to buy this silly bean bag, but she said a picture would suffice.
John and Rachel couldn't believe how much Gabriel looks like his daddy!
Cody and Jennifer also felt like a little Jamil was with us!
Sweet Tara couldn't wait to get her hands on little Gabriel!
Ben and Erin were all smiles even though Gabriel was clearly ready to eat!
We couldn't believe how much Elliot has grown! He was so sweet with Gabriel! What a good mom you are, Tricia!
Debbie was sure she had stolen all of Gabriel's kisses!
Jayme patiently watched Gabriel sleep before she got her hands on him for play time. She even brought us some yummy cupcakes from Sprinkles in Dallas!
Gabriel and I have been practicing our mommy/baby yoga. He loves this tummy time move!
Sweet Arden came to the house to photograph Gabriel. She was so wonderful and patient! As you can see, Gabriel was worn out!
Uncle Casey took us to the Fort Worth Zoo!!! We started off with Gabriel in the stroller, but I kept wanting to lift him up to see all of the animals. We quickly transferred him to the cozy sling!
The white tiger was super friendly...or super hungry!
Everyone gasped as he tried to jump on Casey through the glass.
There was an awesome exhibit where we could feed the parrots!
They too were either super friendly or super hungry...probably both!
I had to get a shot of this sweet bear for Casey...Go Baylor! He gave us all a scare when he let out a huge roar!
Go Frogs! There is a huge section specifically for Texas animals...go figure!
Thanks, Uncle Casey, for taking Gabriel to the zoo for the first time!
We didn't get to take a picture with dear Dana, but as you can see, he loves his new onesie! Thanks Dana! We had a great time with you at McKinley's!
Thumbs up! Gabriel has been doing well with his neck control, but he's starting to really tilt his head back now. Great job!
We love our new fuzzy blanket! So Soft!
It's perfect for play time as I twist and roll all over the place!
Gabriel got a lot of attention from granddad's co-workers at TCU!
Granddad was SO proud!
We sat under The Giving Tree and read Good Night Moon at the new TCU bookstore. My how things have changed!
We even ran into an old friend, Mrs. Beard!
Kristen stopped by with one of our favorite outfits from Baby Gap!
Her mother, Gayle, was so excited to meet Gabriel. It was great to see you both, and we can't wait to use our gift card! Thanks!
Our dear friends, Kelly & Lane, had their baby while we were home. Her name is Aslyn Lane.
What a difference 4 months makes! Gabriel was even smaller than Aslyn when he was born! It's so hard to remember him being that small!
I can't tell you how many times I've heard that they grow SO fast, but it is SO true! By the way, I think Gabriel wants a little sister!
Donna, Kelly's mom, is such a proud nana!
Aslyn already has her daddy wrapped around her finger, but he did take some time out to hang out with the only other man around...Gabriel!
Jennifer drove in and had to tell Gabriel all of our funny stories from middle & high school, like the bell lady and Now & Forever!
Cousin Jeff got some practice holding two little ones. Trey's little brother will be here next month! Trey was so sweet and is going to make a great big brother!
Uncle Louis & Aunt Susan welcomed another member to the Cullum family. Gabriel has the Cullum chin to prove it! Thank you for the toys and adorable outfits!
Grams proudly introduced Gabriel to Great Aunt Karen!
Burr! One day it feels like spring and the next it feels like winter! Thanks, Ali, for my hat from Peru!
We had lunch with Grandma and Great Aunt Gina at Chadra Mezza & Grill. We all admired Gabriel, enjoyed each other's company and got some great food!
Grams had a great time showing off her grandson at Greenbriar Elementary School. Grams has worked there for years, and Jamil & Leila both were students at Greenbriar!
All of the teachers poured out their love on Gabriel, and he loved every minute of it!
Leslie sure is a proud grams!
We had to get a picture by the Texas flag!
Gabriel also met Clifford The Big Red Dog in the library!
Our wonderful visit has come to an end. Grams and Aunt Leila came by to say goodbye. :(
Gabriel filled up a diaper...his way of saying goodbye! That little booger is just like his daddy!
Great-Grandma didn't want to let Gabriel go. He is such a sweet gift to our family!
All ready for my last night in Texas. Grandma and Granddad had to get their goodnight sugars one last time! Thank you for Gabriel's beautiful nursery!
Uncle Casey and the grandparents can't wait to see Baby Gaby again!
Good morning! Granddad and Gabriel enjoyed one last walk outside.
We're on our way out the door. Thanks, Bebe, for this adorable Mavericks outfit. It's perfect for the plane ride home! We love you all and can't wait to see everyone again!
