Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

7:55 pm CST January 4, 2010
One of my 2010 Resolutions is to BLOG more...we will see how that goes. As you can tell, 2009 did not end with lots of blogging. Since the girls' last post, everyone we know has been very busy. We had a great Thanksgiving with the Roberts' famly. As a reminder, the Roberts are Tommy's maternal family and hence the name Mary Roberts, AKA Mary Robert. When we decided on the name Mary Roberts, Tommy felt very strongly about calling her Mary Robert, so we do. Tommy's brother, Bob, and his family prefer MR. What ever you decide to call her, I most often call her "sweet." She has grown into an incredibly loving, easy going toddler. She takes great naps, offers an incredibly embracing grin, and likes to wave and say "bye-bye." Bye-bye started as a way to communicate when someone is leaving but has evolved into a message for anything she is leaving or done with. When she gets out of her crib in the morning she says bye-bye to her paci, which lives in her bed and when she is done with her milk she says bye-bye to her cup (or bottle). She seems somewhat confused that you may choose to wave "hello" and "bye-bye." It makes me think we should have taught her Aloha instead. Hayes has a very different personality. Hayes has a grin that exposes as many teeth as possible and prefers being the life of the party, which often means less naps. She does not require a party either, if someone is doing something, anything she wants to be a part of it. She has started kissing her dad and mom and will do give kisses upon request. Tommy and I request them often. During the holidays, we were able to enjoy time with our families and took a lot of pictures. Here are the best ones... Check back soon, in less than 2 weeks the girls will celebrate their 1st Birthday! I promise more pictures. All our love and best wishes for a wonderful, prosperous 2010. Marybeth
