Pacemaker surgery done
9:44 pm CST November 9, 2009
Well the little guy did ok! The surgeon is happy with the results. We were told he was getting a bi-v (3wire pacemkaer) but the surgeon felt 2 worked best for him, and how nice as it is a shorter surgery!!!
So he came out in about 3.5 -4 hours, not too shabby :-)
Mom might get to hold him tomorrow, it's been almost a month and she can't wait!
Jasper has been having these involuntary movements since his 2nd surgery this admission. Neurology has been closely folowing him and he has been on this med Keppra for it. When talking with them, they let us know there has been a lot of research, but no one really knows why this happens. Sometimes it goes away and sometimes it doesn't. We hope Jasper gets better and doesn't keep having this
Time will tell, with his heart, his neuro issues etc, we will see what happens in the next few days and weeks. :-)
