What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful little boy. I've always had a special place in my heart for all of the little red headed trach boys and Jasper was certainly no exception. My older brother died when he was 6 of CHD. He was a red head too! They are the special ones/ You were blessed that Jasper chose you as parents.

I don't know you or your sweet boy, but I read some of your entries with tears streaming down my face for the beautiful grace and optimism with which you lived your lives together. It is impossible for me to fathom the journey you have been on, but as much as your son was an angel, you as his parents are the same. Your spirit, love, and conviction blessed Jasper's too-short life, as they will continue to bless the lives of many other lucky souls as long as you live.
My heart breaks for you, and admires you to no end.

I am heartbroken at your loss of Jasper. I followed your story while in the CICU and then after we returned to Kansas City always rooting for you wonderful little boy. Unfortunately I know all to well the grief you are experiencing. Please let us know if we can do anything for you.
I know my red headed boy gave Jasper a big hug when they met on Tuesday.

Becca and Chris - I am glad that we were able to talk today. Jasper was and still is a beautiful soul....you can just feel the love that you all shared just by looking at these pictures. I especially love the one of daddy and Jasper snuggling. I believe with all of my heart that Jasper chose you as his parents. Although he may not be here in body, he is with you always and connected in your heart and soul. My husband and I will keep your family in our prayers and I am asking Olivia to show Jasper around in heaven. Should you need anything at all, please let me know.

My heart is with you. His strength for so long was an inspiration to wake up every day and see the sun shine. Your dedication and determination makes everyone look at life in the most precious way.
