Where there is sadness, let me sow joy

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." ~Kahlil Gibran
We are still missing our little guy. We talk to him everyday and we feel him with us. Thank you again for the well wishes, flowers, cards and donations in Jasper's name to the various charities. We are moved by how many people Jasper has touched.
We are so thankful to have had our time with Jasper. There is a picture I love of Chris changing Jasper at the hospital and Jasper is content playing with his hands. It is a reminder that we were always together as a family, even during long hospital stays, and we are so lucky to have had that for us and for Jasper. He was home wherever we were, because we were all together.
I get sad sometimes thinking of all the things Jasper won't get to do, but Jasper enjoyed all the things he did do and that we did together. While he won't get to go on a school bus, he loved sitting on mums lap listening to music for hours, loved going for walks in the stroller, and watching golf on tv with dad. He was happy and content living his life with mom and dad, especially sleeping with us and being cozy next to us. We would wake up to see Jasper watching us. I like to think the sadness I feel is my missing him, not that I am sorry for how short his time was. .
Jasper was very busy here when he was with us. We never would have imagined the things that he would have been responsible for. Jasper managed to bring back a relationship with a lost family member, and gave his mother an open door for a new career.

We are moved by how many people have been touched by Jasper's life. We ask that instead of feeling sad that you honor Jasper through enjoying your life and being a good person.
A prayer I always like, The Peace Prayer, through Jasper I appreciate the teachings even more,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is error, the truth; Where there is doubt, the faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled, as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love.

Jasper loved hanging out with dad, lying next to him.
